There were three monitor wells on the site; MW -1 (east), MW -2
(south) and MW -4 (west). The well MW -3 has been abandoned, and MW -4 has been added as a
replacement. Attached is the report showing the well measurements taken on January 3, 2013,
and a figure showing the location of the monitoring wells.
We would also like to note that we have, as of January 3, 2013, placed a pressure transducer in
the monitoring well, MW -4. This transducer will take readings once every hour, and we will be
able to access these readings when we visit the site periodically. We have also purchased an
additional pressure transducer to be placed in the reservoir near the monitoring wells, but we
have not yet received permission from the reservoir owners, United Water & Sanitation District
(United), to do so. We will install the transducer when we receive permission, and we currently
are communicating with United regarding this issue.
If you have any questions please call me at your convenience.
Cordially,
Applegate Group, Inc.
SB /ta
enclosures
Stephen Buechner
Water Resource Engineer
cc: Eugene Riordan, Esq.
Theran Olsen, Brannan Sand and Gravel
AG File No. 10 -116
1490 W. 121" Avenue, Suite 100
Denver, CO 80234
303 -452 -6611
www.applegategroup.com
N \10116 Brannan Pit 29\Disciplines (Technical) \WRPM \Water Rtghts\2012 Reports \TR report 12 12 docx
RECEIVED
i4AN07
DIVISION OF RECLAMATION
MINING AND SAFETY
118 W. 6 Street, Suite 100
Glenwood Springs, CO 81601
