Mr. Berhan Keffelew
Environmental Protection Specialist
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Conversion Ap cation - Utility information
Hansel Pit #1G -2010 -036
response on Tallgrass Energy Partners
Dear Mr. Keffelew:
40586 Co. Rd. 21
Haxtun, CO 80731
December 30, 2012
RECEIVED
JAN 0? 2013
DIVISION OF RECLAMATION
MINING ANO SAFETY
The Tallgrass Energy letter was forwarded under separate cover. In the event
damage is caused to the pipeline, the owner /operator of converted Hansel Pit#1 is
willing to mitigate damages. We are also willing to comply with the other
requirements as specified by Tallgrass. They are:
1) No mining will occur with 200' either side of said pipeline.
2) A 10:1 slope will begin at 200' from said pipeline and descend away from
the pipeline.
3) No equipment other than passenger vehicles will cross the pipeline unless
Tallgrass is notified and a weight limit study can be conducted.
4) CO 811 will be notified and a locate requested when any excavation is
performed closer than 250' from said pipeline.
I would again ask if the name of the pit could be changed to "Crystal Springs
Ranch Pit" due to the change in ownership?
I assume this should complete our necessary documentation for conversion.
Please let me know what additional information is needed at this time. My
mailing address is shown above. I can be reached during working hours at 970-
854- 3778. Thank you for your consideration.
cc: Breck Vassios
Sincerely,
Randy chafer
Consultant -
(2. A) (//
