Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA -Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> Y -Processing Waste Y -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the McClane Canyon Mine conducted on December 20,2012 by Mike Boulay <br /> of the Division of Reclamation,Mining, and Safety(DRMS). There was no operator representative present during <br /> the inspection. I spoke with a security guard from First Alert at the mine office prior to the inspection. There was <br /> no one else present at the mine site. Weather conditions were clear and cold. Ground conditions were snow <br /> covered. McClane Canyon Mine is currently an inactive underground coal mining operation and in temporary <br /> cessation. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(l): <br /> The availability of records was checked at J.E. Stover&Associates office on the afternoon of December 28th. I <br /> attempted to access the records on December 21st the day following the inspection but no one was available at J.E. <br /> Stover's office to allow for me to have access to the records. All required records were on file and available for <br /> review with exception of a current Insurance Certificate. Please see the DRMS Availability of Records checklist <br /> at the end of this inspection report. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Drainage structures and diversion culverts in the portal area were all snow covered. The sediment pond <br /> (Photograph No. 1)was snow covered and frozen at the surface.
