The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34,
Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on December 20, 2012
an application to revise coal mining operations at the Trapper Mine was considered complete for
the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Trapper Mining, Inc.. All review and
comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing.
TR -110 revises and updates the approved monitoring frequencies and methods for surface waters
in order to conform to Trapper's renewed NPDES Permit CO- 0032115.
The Surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles Southwest of Craig,
Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows:
Portions of Sections 1, 2, and 3, Township 5 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M.
Portions of Sections 30 and 31, Township 6th North, Range 90 West of the 6th P.M.
Portions of Sections 25, 26, 28, 33, 34, 35, and 36, Township 6 North, Range 91 West of the 6th
P.M.
The above - mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Castor
Gulch.
The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been
deemed complete. At the time of publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to
place a copy of this application at the Moffat County Clerk and Recorder, 221 W Victory Way,
Craig, CO 81625, and at the Division office.
