Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> R - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection conducted on December 12,2012 by Zach Trujillo.Brian Watterson of Peabody <br /> accompanied myself on the inspection. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The Mine No. 5 dewatering pump was operating at the time of inspection. During previous inspections,the mine <br /> dewatering pump was down for maintenance. Ponds 5-P5, 5-P6 and 5-P7 all held water and was discharging from <br /> NPDES point 003. Discharge from NPDES 003 was clear with no signs of sediment.All embankments of the mine <br /> dewatering pond system were stable and well vegetated.No additional rodent holes were observed since the repair <br /> work was done on the embankments. <br /> Facility area was inspected for proper drainage.All runoff in this area is captured by ditches running parallel to the <br /> railroad spur before reaching a set of vegetated drainage cells. Runoff is then carried to sedimentation ponds 5-P2 <br /> and 5-P3 before final discharge from pond 5-P1. Ditches and ponds were stable and well vegetated.No water was <br /> present in any of the ponds and no discharge was occurring. <br /> Ponds HR-Pla,HR-Plb, 9-P2, 9-P3, 9-P7, 9-P8 and 5A-PI were also inspected.All ponds were dry at the time of <br /> inspection.
