The Plan is ava.i_la.bl_e for inspection by the <br /> Division. <br /> Sediment Fiel-d Markers - 1,MP regulations do not specifically <br /> require the install-ration. of staff gauges in sediment ponds. <br /> Sediment Control a.t Fan Area - The fan area. at Maxwel-l. Mine is not <br /> an area of high use or disturbance, and CFA-,T_ is utilizing <br /> alternate sedimentation control for this area.. Clen.n gravel <br /> surrounds the fan and fan house to protect the nron from <br /> erosion. The road is also surfaced with gravel and undisturbed <br /> water is ditched away from the area.. P?hR field inspections have <br /> pointed out several improvements- in the fan area., such as <br /> bl-ocking off a. section of unused road and rovegeta+;i ng certain <br /> areas . CF&I has implemented these improvements and requests <br /> approval for the lase of alternate sedimentnt,i on control for the <br /> an a.ren- <br /> CI <br /> Sediment Ponds n.s Permn.nent Impoundments - CF&T will <br /> remove the nPdiment ponds or will_ modify t,ho ponds to comply with <br /> Rule 4 .05 .9 at a later dn.te , As It is not known nt this time <br /> which alternative will be chosen , it would be premature to <br /> discuss exactly how the ponds would be modified . <br /> h <br />
