I have <br /> also discussed the plan with Jim McArdle with the Inactive Mine Program <br /> (IMP) . This letter is intended as notification that the proposed waste <br /> rock removal project would be in accordance with Best Management Practices <br /> that would be implemented by IMP if they were to undertake this project. <br /> The Division concurs that the proposed plan should result in non-point <br /> source water quality improvement, and should result in a return of the <br /> affected land to a beneficial use. <br /> In terms of the proposed sidehill entryway (decline) closure, I would <br /> recommend that you hold off until John Nelson with the IMP staff inspects <br /> the site and provides any recommendations as to how the closure should be <br /> implemented. <br /> If you have any questions, please contact me. <br /> Sincerely, _ <br /> Allen C.
