5.2 Ground Water
Purgatoire Alluvium - Stations PAW-1, PAW-2, PAW-3, PAW-4, PAW-5 and PAW-6.
These stations will be monitored quarterly for water level, pH, conductivity and
temperature. In addition, an annual sample collected in November will be analyzed
for the water quality parameters listed in Table 2 of the letter. Station PAW-6 will
also be monitored quarterly for total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, total
combustible solids, bicarbonate, sodium, iron and manganese. This data will be
utilized to assess potential impacts of mining and surface activities.
Ciruela Canyon Alluvium - Station CCAW-1.
This station will be monitored quarterly and annually for the same parameters as
described for PAW-6. The data will be utilized to assess potential impacts of mining
and surface activities.
Apache Canyon Alluvium - Station ACAW-1.
Following assessment of baseline data collected from the flume and projections of
impacts associated with the five year mine plan, MLR approved discontinuation of
monitoring until further disturbance is proposed in this canyon.
-33-
