The length of surface casing should probably not exceed 10 feet,
in light of the possibility that only 20 feet of alluvium exists
at the site.
2. The screened interval for the well should not exceed 15 feet. The
selection of the screened interval should be made during
drilling. The interval with the coarsest, most permeable
material, should be the interval screened.
3. A concrete cap should be constructed at the surface and a
bentonite seal should also be placed above the screened interval
to assure uncontaminated samples.
4. More detail is'needed for the construction of the wells. Please
submit a general schematic showing the well construction,
including the types of materials to be used. Attachment 1 is an
example of such a schematic.
