Mr. Stuart Teuscher 2 January 30, 1996
t •
A 24-inch wide by 6-inch deep (minimum) footing will be constructed on the
bedrock face with the center of the footing in alignment with the keyway;
• The footing shall be constructed using the same concrete specifications as the
concrete cut-off wall presented in Drawing 5116-E2. The footing will be
reinforced with rebar;
• To provide a watertight seal between the footing and concrete cut-off wall, a
seal such as "PVC Water Stop" or similar product shall be used. The water
seal is to placed into the footing during completion; and
• After the footing has cured, the concrete cut-off wall shall be formed onto the
footing, being positioned along the footing axis. Prior to construction of the
cut-off wall,the surface of the footing shall be cleaned to be free of soil, loose
rock or foreign materials.
This recommended modification to the cut-off wall will provide a seal against the
bedrock surface, which will minimize seepage beneath the cut-off wall. Additional
sealants are not recommended to augment this modification.
I hope this modification meets with your approval. If you have any questions or
comments, please feel free to call me at(303) 850-9852.
Respectfully,
Titan Environmental Corporation
1
ohn F. Lupo, P.E.
Project Manager
cc: Bryce Romig
-- --
AV.IODDOC _ _ Environmental
