These
modifications are subject to Division review because the SWWPS is an
Environmental Protection Facility as defined in the Hard Rock/ Metal
Mining Rules and Regulations of the Mined Land Reclamation Board.
The proposed modifications will result in greatly reduced flow past the
trash rack that is in the existing flume. As such, the trash rack
cleaning frequency will be reduced, and the potential for the trash rack
becoming plugged and the flume overtopping will be similarly reduced. The
Division has no questions about the design that has been provided. Thank
you for the straight forward presentation of your plans. Climax has the
Division approval to proceed with the project.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Allen C.
