Station activation will be triggered when longwall <br /> mining commences under Santsitevan Canyon. <br /> ACF-1 Located in Apache Canyon approximately one-half mile from the <br /> confluence with the Purgatoire river. Established a stream <br /> flume to assess potential effects of secondary or retreat <br /> mining on stream quality and flow. This station is currently <br /> inactive as per CMLRD approval. Station activation will be <br /> triggered when longwall mining commences under Apache Canyon. <br /> PAW-1 Alluvial well located in the Purgatoire Alluvium adjacent to <br /> PRS-1 . Established to monitor water quality above the <br /> existing coal refuse pile. <br /> PAW-2 Alluvial well located adjacent to the Purgatoire River <br /> approximately 200 yards downstream of PAW-1 . Established to <br /> monitor water quality down gradient from the existing coal <br /> refuse pile. <br /> PAW-3 Alluvial well located adjacent to the Purgatoire River <br /> approximately 300 yards downstream of PAW-2. The well was <br /> established in the backfilled channel during the diversion of <br /> the Purgatoire River. It was established to monitor the <br /> quality and quantity of water movement into the upstream <br /> (east) end of the diversion. <br /> PAW-4 Alluvial well located adjacent to the Purgatoire River <br /> approximately 100 yards downstream of PAW-3. The well was <br /> established in the backfilled channel during the diversion of <br /> the Purgatoire River. It was established to monitor the <br /> quality and quantity of water movement into the downstream <br /> (west) end of the diversion. <br /> PAW-5 Alluvial well located below PRS-2 at the Golden Eagle <br /> Mine entrance. Established to gather baseline data above the <br /> Golden Eagle Mine and monitor quantity and quality of water <br /> 6 <br />
