Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Bowie No. 2 Mine based on aerial photographs of the site taken by Harry <br /> Ranney of DRMS and reviewed by Susan Burgmaier of DRMS. The site is actively producing coal from the B <br /> seam. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05❑ Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br /> 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4, Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br /> Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Ponds B, C, D, and F all held water; it was not apparent whether any of the ponds were discharging. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11❑ Drainage Control; Surface <br /> Stabilization; Placement: <br /> Gob Pile #2 -Refuse was being graded on Gob Pile #2;no haul trucks were observed between the gob pile <br /> and screening bench. Cover placement activity on the east end of the pile appeared to be idle at the time of the <br /> inspection. It did not appear that diversion ditch construction for the pile expansion(TR72)had been started. <br /> Gob Pile #3 -no refuse has been placed in this area; no equipment observed. <br /> Gob Pile #4 -No refuse was being placed or any equipment working in this area. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.0311 Construction 4.03.l(3)/4.03.2(3)❑ Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)11 Surfacing and <br /> Maintenance4.03.1(5) and(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)❑ Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> No activity was observed on the construction of the Gob Pile #3 haul road, and it did not appear that <br /> construction was complete. <br /> The unpaved section of the main haul road appeared to have been recently watered. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 7 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br />
