Eagle Park Reservoir III 'llllll
Final Analytical Summary IIIIIIII
October 29, 1997
999
Robinson Seepwater Collection System
Ground Water
Ground water at the toe of Robinson Lake Reservoir is captured by an approved 1996
Environmental Protection Facility known as the Robinson Seep Cut-off Wall. Stormwater
diversion to reduce the volume of water entering the process area during spring runoff was
implemented in September 1997 on the east side of the cut-off wall. On the west side of the cut-
off wall, cursory drainage control has been implemented and will be managed according to the
objectives of the Climax Mine Stormwater Management Plan (see attached diagram). The top of
the cut-off wall was also exposed in an effort to verify that flow is not going over the top of the
wall. Due to the large volume of runoff, estimated at six (6) acre-feet, that will occur in the Spring,
a capture basin was excavated up stream of the cut-off wall. This will provide an estimated 0.5
acre-feet of storage during heavy runoff.
A certification is attached for the alternative offset water level probe installed as a modification to
this Environmental Protection Facility. This installation was described to the Division in a letter
dated April 9, 1997
