I11. MAJOR DESIRED PLANT SPECIES PRESENT:
Plant species included in reclamation seed mixture. Seed mix according to BLM lease agreement: Indian ricegrass
(rimrock), Western wheatgrass (rosana) Beardless wheatgrass (whitmar) Thick spike wheatgrass (critana). These
species were planted on top soilspiles and various areas around sites
IV. TREATMENT SITE: (Describe land type or use, size, stage of growth of target species, slope, soil type.
precipitation zone etc.)
Industrial ROW for Oil shale research and development. Treatment will be targeted for vegetative stage of growth
before seed set. Various sli • ht de ti ees of slo es alon • fenced ri • ht of wa with avera • e soil j. es for most areas
nth some variability.
ESTIMATED ACRES -TOTAL PROJECT AREA 7 acres
ESTIMATED ACRES - ACTUALLY TREATED (per application) 7 acres
V. SENSITIVE ASPECTS AND PRECAUTIONS: (Describe sensitive areas [e.g., marsh, endangered, threatened,
candidate and sensitive species habitat] and distance to treatment site. List measures taken to avoid impact to
sensitive areas. Include any livestock precautions on label if site is grazed.
Dudley Bluffs Bladderpod Lesquerella congesta and Piceance Bladderpod Lesquerellaparvora, are known to
exist in the approximate areas. Applicator will survey all areas to be treated for Lesquerella species prior to any
a..lications. If found the will be re.orted to the local BLM office. Herbicides are all labeled for i azin • use. S.rav
equipment will be thoroughly washed to decontaminate equipment and prevent movement of noxious weed
propagative parts to other sites.
VI. NON TARGET VEGETATION: (Describe the impacts, cumulative impacts, and mitigations to non target
vegetation that will be lost as a result of this chemical application). All sites to be treated are flat to nearly flat
disturbed sites with gravelplaced on the surface of some areas with predominately non native vegetation potential
within entire site complex. Herbicide treatment selection, rates and methods are intended to minimize any impact of
native vegetation adjoining treated sites while controlling noxious weeds.
VII. INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT: (Describe how this chemical application fits into your overall
integrated pest management program for the treatment area.
Various regulations require sites to be free of noxious weed vegetation. Not allowing noxious weed establishment on
the site will help to comply with federal and state regulations, protect adjoining areas from noxious weeds, reduce
fire and other hazardous potentials.
Originator's Signature: / 2#1-(4, Date: Z'F I Z Telephone: 7O — 6 Z C- Z Z Z7
Certified Pesticide Applicator's Signature (1t
. , n Date:
Date: `7A3 eoz-
BLM Field Manager's Approv. i1/44 ZolZ
Date:
BLM Field Office Weed and Pesticide Coordinator's Signature:
State BLM Pesticide Coordinator's Signature: " / • t f
l
Deputy State Director's Approval : ` % " ` s' ,
. /r . : Date: /L.'/ L7. 4
CONCUR OR APPROVED
NOT CONCUR OR DISAPPROVED
X CONCUR OR APPROVED WITH MODIFICATIONS
