The Division has completed a preliminary adequacy review of the permit renewal application (RN -6)
submitted by Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) for the Bowie No. 1 Mine. We have the following comments
and questions regarding the submittal.
1. Portions of Part 2.03 of the permit application package include outdated information. Please
submit a minor revision to the permit application package to provide updated information for
the following:
a. Information provided in Section 2.03.4 of the permit application package, Identification
of Interests, if no longer current.
b. 2.03.5, Compliance Information.
C. The legal description of the permit area located after page 2.06 -46. The description
does not reflect the current permit boundary since approval of PR -4.
2. The Division is currently reviewing BRL's reclamation cost estimate for the mine with our review
of BRL's Phase I bond release request (SL -4). An updated reclamation cost estimate will not be
required for this renewal application.
