Main Street <br />Lamar, CO 81052 <br />Cc: Tom Kaldenbach, DRMS <br />Mined Land Reclamation <br />FROM: Tyler O'Donnell, Environmental Protection Specialist'\ VO <br />RE: Permit M- 1981 -132, Lamar West Pit, Temporary Cessation Request <br />STATE OF COLORADO <br />Please be advised that Valco, Inc., whose address is 12753 S Parker Rd, Suite 203 Parker, Colorado <br />80134, has filed a Notice of Temporary Cessation with the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />(Division) for the Lamar West Pit. The mining operation is located at or near Section 31, Township 22 <br />South, Range 46 West, 6th Principal Meridian, in Prowers County. <br />The first five -year period of temporary cessation will begin on October 23, 2012 and will last up to five <br />years from that date. The notice submitted to the Division contains information pertaining to the reason <br />for cessation of the mining operation, a plan for resumption, and the measures taken to comply with the <br />performance standards of Rule 3 of the Rules and Regulations. <br />The receipt of the Notice of Temporary Cessation was acknowledged in the monthly activity /agenda <br />report attached to the agenda at the November 13, 2012 meeting of the Mined Land Reclamation Board. <br />If you need additional information please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, or by telephone at 303.866.3567. <br />COLORADO <br />DIVISION OF <br />RECLAMATION <br />MINING <br />—&— <br />SAF ETY <br />This letter is to inform counties and municipalities within two miles of a mining operation of the intent of <br />Valco, Inc. to put their mining operation into a state of temporary cessation.
