United States Forest Pike and San Isabel South Park Ranger District
Department of Service National Forests P. O. Box 219
USDA Agriculture Cimarron and Comanche 320 Highway 285
lli National Grasslands Fairplay, CO 80440
(719) 836-2031
Fax (719) 836 -3875
www.fs.usda.gov /psicc
USDA
File Code: 2810
Date: September 10, 2012
Donald Oswald CERTIFIED MAIL — RETURN
1331 South Marion Street RECEIPT REQUESTED
Denver, CO 80210 NUMBER:
Dear Mr. Oswald,
As you are aware, Kevin Lawrence owned and operated the Sara Rose and Sara Rita Unpatented
Mining Claims, both of which are located on the South Park Ranger District, Pike and San Isabel
National Forests. Kevin was issued a reclamation bond by the Forest Service of $2,211.00,
which he paid on November 22, 2010; whereupon, his Plan of Operations to operate on the Sara
Rose and Sara Rita was authorized on January 4, 2011. Subsequently, he sold the claims to Mike
Bergmann, and as of June 28, 2012, the transfer has been completed, with Mr. Bergmann now
holding the bond and Plan of Operations for the Sara Rose and Sara Rita Unpatented Mining
Claims.
The reclamation bond which the Forest Service held for Kevin's operations on the Sara Rose and
Sara Rita may now be refunded as a result of the completed transfer. In order to process the
refund, I need the following:
• Documentation that whomever is to receive the refund is authorized to act on behalf of
the estate of Kevin Lawrence.
• A written request from the authorized agent asking to refund the reclamation bond.
• A copy of a Death Certificate from the Colorado Department of Public Health and
Environment.
Once I have received the documentation, I will proceed with the refund.
Also, according to our files, you are listed as the Manager for Sara Ray Silver Mining, LLC
(Company) in the LLC Operating Agreement. As such, you are probably aware that Kevin
Lawrence had paid a bond under the Sara Ray Silver Mining, LLC company name, in order to be
authorized to operate on the Ajax and Ibex Unpatented Mining Claims. The Plan of Operations
was under Kevin's name as the Operator and was authorized until December 31, 2013. Upon his
death, the Plan of Operations is no longer valid. It is my understanding that the Company is still
interested in mining the claims. If that is so, I would like to suggest a meeting with you and
other Company members to outline the Forest Service process. I will look forward to hearing
from you or another Company representative when you have decided to pursue your mining
interests.
Caring for the Land and Serving the People
i.
