Herbaceous production for the shrub grassland type in the mine area will be evaluated for reclamation <br />success by comparing the weighted production value determined from the extended reference area <br />vegetation types described under cover to the reclaimed area herbaceous production value. The <br />weighted herbaceous production value will be determined by taking the herbaceous production value <br />for each reference area type (applicable to shrub grassland or mesic drainage reclaimed areas) and <br />multiplying it by the percentage occupied by that type in the premining surface area to arrive at the <br />weighted value.
