We have staked out the road and pad location for that building. In doing so,
we found that there are substantial cuts and disturbances to the hillside that led us to re- consider
the building — placement location on the site.
We re- visited the location issues and found that the area adjacent to the Admin. Building to the
East would provide adequate room to place the building with a much lesser overall site
disturbance and impact. I have included a site map and cross - section of the proposed location for
your review and comments. The new location would be better from a logistical, safety, and
Public- Relations standpoint in that it would look much nicer from town and the adjacent
neighboring properties.
The revised location seems to make better sense from several standpoints. Firstly, the originally
proposed location would cause substantial disturbance to the entire hillside below the
Administration Building. Secondly, the road grades were showing to be borderline extreme and
looked like they were going to encounter solid rock that would need to be blasted to remove.
Also, th placement adjacent to the admin building should allow us to eliminate the water and
sewer/septic installations that would have been required with the original location, as we intend
to pursur connecting these utilities to those already existing for the adjacent building and not
install a separate system. Lastly, the location was crowding the edge of the Affected Area
We her,
project.
and the
with th
we are
along tl
by request that you give consideration to the revised plan layout for the Core Shed
We would appreciate your allowing us to move forward with the development of the pad
adjacent parking area and retaining wall as shown in the attached documentation. The
wall design will afford the additional level real estate needed for parking associated
building. I have attached a couple of photos of the Concrete retaining wall blocks that
roposing to use for the project. We have been using these same blocks as a safety barrier
edge of the existing admin parking area.
112 East 12'h Street P.O.
