Pineda <br />Director <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article <br />33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on November 20, 2012, an application <br />to renew an existing permit to conduct coal mining operations at the Hayden Gulch Loadout was considered <br />complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface <br />Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. Hayden Gulch Terminal, LLC <br />proposes to continue Loadout coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located approximately 2 <br />miles Southeast of Hayden, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of E1 /2 Sec. 10, W1 /2 Sec. 14, E1 /2E1/2 Sec. 15, NE1 /4 Sec. 22, NW1 /4NW1 /4 Sec. 23, <br />Township 6 North, Range 88 West of the 6th P.M. These tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute <br />Quadrangle map of Mount Harris. <br />This is a permit renewal application for the next five year term. Because the above referenced permit <br />renewal application might otherwise alter previously approved permit conditions or mitigation measures, we <br />are requesting your agency's evaluation of the proposal. Your comments and concerns relating to the <br />adequacy of fish and wildlife resources information, the fish and wildlife plan, and the reclamation plan as it <br />relates to fish and wildlife considerations, including potential impacts to threatened or endangered species, <br />are requested. If wildlife habitat is the proposed postmining land use, we request your evaluation of <br />proposed woody plant stocking levels, planting arrangements, and methods for mitigation of potential <br />adverse impacts. <br />Pertinent portions of the permit application are available electronically on our web site: <br />http://www.mining.state.co.us/ImagedDocuments.htm <br />The permit number is C- 1992 -081 and the IBM index class is "Permit File" OR "Revision ".
