Submittal of a letter to the Division officially requesting bond release.
2. Arrangement with the Division for an on -site inspection of the exploration reclamation.
X- 2004 - 153 -13
A $43,165.00 bond remains open on the project known as Stove Canyon Exploration Project in Sections
33 and 34 of Township 7S Range 102W and Sections 2 and 3 of Township 8S Range 102W. According to
our records, the drill hole abandonment report was received January 7, 2005. This report stated that three
of the drill holes were converted into groundwater monitoring wells (Hole No. 8 -2 -8, 8 -3 -10, and 7- 34 -7).
We ask that you consider the following so that we can both remove this program from our files:
Please provide the Division with information and the status of these wells.
With regards to the three monitoring wells, the exploration bond may be released pending submittal of a
request for bond release and one of the following:
1. Transfer of wells as per Rule 4.05.14 to the landowner.
1. If these wells are a part of an approved monitoring plan and are currently bonded under another
bond instrument.
Submitting a Drill Hole Abandonment report and Final Reclamation Report after the wells are
sealed, plugged and reclaimed.
With regards to the nine reclaimed holes with no monitoring wells in place, the exploration bond may
released pending:
1. Submittal of a letter to the Division officially requesting bond release.
2. Submittal of a final reclamation report.
3. Arrangement with the Division for an on -site inspection of the exploration reclamation.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (303)866 -3567 ext. 8147
Sincerely,
/I Aaz(
Elliott Russell
Environmental Protection Specialist
Cc: Jim Stover, J.
