Fremont Paving & Redi -Mix Inc (Fremont) uses this material to reconstruct pit wall
slopes as required in reclamation. Upon determination that the amount of pit fines significantly
exceeded the amount needed during reclamation, Stonewall directed Fremont to place some of
the material in stockpiles to the northeast of the permit boundary for use in Stonewall projects
on adjoining property. Since Stonewall is the landowner, Fremont complied with the request.
Pit fines are in abundance at the Evans #2 Pit. Fremont has sufficient quantity to perform
required reclamation and has no need of the Stonewall stockpiles to fulfill its reclamation
obligation.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue has caused the Division. Please call
me directly at 719 - 275 -1280 with any questions.
Respectfully submi
Jon P.
