Please revise the proposed text to correspond to the approved text
Response: The revised text has been reviewed and edited to assure continuity with the approved
permit text. Copies of the revised text pages accompany these responses for replacement in the PAP.
2) Proposed text on page 2.05 -71 identifies the "Sage Creek Portal" as the origin of the coal to be
transported to the Foidel Creek Mine. .The Division does not recognize the "Sage Creek Portal "
as an active mining operation. If the origin of the coal to be processed at the Foidel Creek Mine
is the Peabody Sage Creek Mine, please revise the proposed text to reflect the Peabody Sage
Creek Mine rather than the Sage Creek Portal.
Response: The revised text has been reviewed and edited for consistency with the naming convention
for the permitted Sage Creek operations. Copies of the revised text pages accompany these responses
for replacement in the PAP.
3. Based on the new drainage and sediment control plan for the RDA expansion identified on
proposed pages 2.05 -97.4 and 97.5, culverts RDA -7 -2, RDA -5 -1, and RDA -1 b -I will be removed.
Exhibits 26C and 8EE identify approved designs associated with the RDA expansion. Please
provide revisions to Exhibits 26C and 8EE to identify the omission of culverts or provide
justification as to why the RDA Expansion drainage and sediment control and road designs will
not need to be revised.
Response: Exhibit 26C provides information on the geotechnical stability analysis for the proposed
Refuse Pile Expansion and under -drain design. As such, the proposed elimination of the three culverts
does not impact, or require changes to this Exhibit. Exhibit 8EE has been reviewed, and appropriate
changes or deletions are identified by the revision pages which accompany these responses (note that
Culvert RDA -5 -1 was part of the previous TR95 -21 design).
