2011 DISTURBANCE AREA <br />YOAST MINE <br />2011 ANNUAL RECLAMATION REPORT <br />There were no additional acres disturbed during 2011. The total disturbed area remains 848.6 <br />acres. <br />BACKFILLING AND GRADING <br />There were no acres backfilled and graded in 2011 at the Yoast mine. <br />TOPSOIL AND SPOIL MONITORING <br />SCC is required by Permit C -94 -082 to monitor the salvage, storage, and redistribution of <br />topsoil and spoil handling operations at Yoast Mine. <br />• Topsoil Recovery Documentation <br />No additional topsoil was salvaged since no new disturbance occurred. <br />• 2011 Topsoil Replacement Thickness <br />There were no acres of topsoil replacement during 2011. <br />• Soil Pit - Topsoil Fertility and Spoil Suitability <br />No additional soil pit or spoil samples were collected within the Permanent Program permit <br />area in 2011. <br />• Topsoil Balance <br />The topsoil balance is completed to ensure topsoil is salvaged, stockpiled, and replaced as <br />recommended and approved in the permit, and, if necessary, to readjust the topsoil salvage <br />and redistribution thickness. <br />Topsoil Salvage and Storage. The life -of -mine disturbance area from which topsoil was <br />salvaged (848.6 acres) and the topsoil stockpile sites as of December 31, 2011 are shown on <br />the 2011 Topsoil Replacement map. The stockpile volumes are listed in Table 11.1, Topsoil <br />Stockpile Volumes. As of December 31, 2011, there were 41.2 acre -feet of stockpiled topsoil <br />remaining in the mining area. <br />Topsoil Replacement. There were no acres of topsoil replaced in 2011. <br />1 <br />
