Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete application for a technical revision to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for its Roadside North and South Portals, mining permit No. C- 1981 -041. The proposed revision will incorporate into the permit a discussion of the flow variations in the french drain system at the portal. The proposed revision also provides a new design for the drainage ditch that crosses reclaimed sediment pond 9. The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No.46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado River and 1 -70, and is encompassed within the following lands: T10S, R98W., 6 P.M.: T11S, R98W., 6 P.M.: T11 S, R97W., 6 P.M.: Public Notice Sections 26, 27, 28, 34, 35 Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13 Section 7 The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle maps. A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder's office, 200 S. Spruce, Grand Junction, CO. Written comments regarding this application may be submitted to and additional information may be obtained from the Denver office of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety.
