Work Performed: <br />NORTHWEST COLORADO CONSULTANTS, INC. <br />FIELD REPORT <br />Project: Pond 16 -Area <br />Remediation <br />Location: Seneca II Mine <br />Client: Peabody Energy <br />Project No.: 08 -8099 <br />Report No.: 2 <br />Date: 9/07/11 <br />Time: 3.5 <br />Mileage: 74 <br />Engr. /Tech: JS <br />As requested, we visited the project site on this date and conducted compaction test No.'s 1 through 4 on the <br />material being placed for Pond 16A fill. <br />The client was in the process of mucking out the southwest corner of the bottom of Pond 16A. In addition, the <br />contractor was placing and compacting on -site borrow material along the north and northwest sides of Pond 16A <br />for pond backfill. <br />Remarks: <br />It should be noted that no grade stakes are present on the construction site. Therefore, test elevations are <br />approximated from the top of the existing Pond 16A embankment. <br />The material tested generally met the project specifications for compaction. <br />Please refer to the attached sheet for the results of today's testing. <br />Verbal Discussions: <br />Jim Rolando of Peabody was aware of today's test results. <br />
