Work Performed: <br />Verbal Discussions: <br />NORTHWEST COLORADO CONSULTANTS, INC. <br />FIELD REPORT <br />Project: Pond 16 -Area <br />Remediation <br />Location: Seneca IIW Mine <br />Client: Peabody Energy <br />Project No.: 08 - 8099 <br />Report No.: 8 <br />Date: 09/23/11 <br />Time: 3.0 <br />Mileage: 74 <br />Engr. /Tech: BDL <br />As requested, we visited the project site on this date and conducted compaction test No.'s 38 and 39 on the <br />material being placed for Pond 16A fill. <br />The excavation contractor, Seneca Mine, was in the process of mucking out the south side of the bottom of pond <br />16A. In addition the contractor was placing and compacting on -site borrow material along the north side of pond <br />16A for pond backfill. <br />We also obtained a sample of the fill materials being placed and returned it to our laboratory for one -point Proctor <br />testing in accordance with ASTM D698. The sample matched Proctor 3P. <br />Remarks: <br />The material tested generally met the project specifications for compaction. <br />Please refer to the attached sheet for the results of today's testing. <br />Jim Rolando of Seneca Mine was aware of today's test results. <br />
