We hope it adequately addresses your concerns .
As noted in Mr. Distler' s letter of July 10 , 1980 , we
have not proposed any significant changes in the mining and
reclamation plans heretofore approved by the Board. The
information in this response, therefore, should not be
construed as altering existing or creating new obligations
as to matters not covered by the amendment.
We do understand , however, your desire for explanatory
information which may enhance your understanding of our
program and have tried to answer your questions accordingly.
We also understand that you would prefer rescheduling
the hearing of this matter by the Board to their November
1980 meeting in order that you may obtain comments from
certain State agencies that have not yet responded to you.
Although we are prepared to proceed at the October 1980
meeting , we concur with this deferral until the November
1980 meeting .
Please give me a call after you have had a chance to
review the answers herein. In view of the many matters
covered by your "adequacy" letter, it is important that we
meet before presenting this amendment before the Board.
rrely,
uck
Environmental Engineer
RZ :mm
