The amendment covers activities which have long been <br /> planned for as a part of the normal expansion of the Climax <br /> Mine . When applying for an amendment, the Colorado State <br /> Mined Land Reclamation Board requires mining operators to <br /> notify owners of record of surface rights to the affected <br /> lands and owners of record of surface rights to the immedi- <br /> ately adjacent lands of planned mining related activities . <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the public notict-'as published in <br /> the various local newspapers .
