Box 483
Loretta Pineda
Paonia, CO 81428
Director
RE: Open Exploration Projects
Dear Mr. Bear:
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) is in the process of reviewing
outstanding Notices of Intents (NOI) on file that have expired, but may still have bond remaining. Bowie
Resources has two of these NOIs. The Division would like to close these files and release the associated
bonds.
Regulatory requirements for final bond release include a submittal of drill hole abandonment reports for
holes drilled, a final reclamation report, a formal written request to the Division asking for bond release
and an on -site inspection of the complete holes. The status of the open NOIs are listed below with a
summary of each NOI based on the research of the files completed by the Division.
X- 2006 - 217 -11
A $23,882.03 bond remains open on the project known as Terror Creek 21) Seismic Survey in Sections 32
and 33 of Township 12S Range 91W and Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 17 of Township 13S Range 91W.
According to our records, a final reclamation report was received 2 November 2010, but no drill hole
abandonment reports have been received for the drilling.
We ask that you consider the following so that we can both remove this program from our files:
1. Submit a letter to the Division officially requesting bond release.
2. Submit final abandonment reports for all holes drilled.
3. Arrange with the Division for an on -site inspection of the exploration reclamation.
X- 2005- 217 -10
A $73,685.00 bond remains open on the project known as Spruce Stomp Coal Exploration Project in
Sections 29, 31, 32, and 33 of Township 12S Range 91W and Sections 35 and 36 of Township 12S Range
92W. According to our records, multiple 180 day reports and drill hole abandonment reports have been
received. As a reminder, drill holes SS -9 and DH- 2010 -1 still need a drill hole abandonment report.
We ask that you consider the following so that we can both remove this program from our files:
1. Submit a letter to the Division officially requesting bond release.
2. Submit the final reclamation report.
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
