PUEBLO WEST, CO 81007 PHONE: 719- 240 -9424 FAX: 719 -583 -0768 RE: STONEWALL SPRINGS QUARRY GRAVEL PIT Rule 6.3.2 Site Description td), Wildlife Statement for the Stonewall Springs Quarry Gravel Pit and Rule 6.4.8 Exhibit H — Wildlife Information Stonewall Springs Quarry, LLC, is applying for a Pueblo County Special Use Permit (SUP) and a DIVISION OF RECLAMATION, MINING AND SAFETY, State of Colorado Department of Natural Resources, RECLAMATION PERMIT for a mining operation located on land it owns. The mining boundary covers multiple sections. Please the attached Exhibit "A" and maps for a full description. The purpose of this letter is to request from your office a wildlife statement giving a description of the game and non -game resources on and in the vicinity of the application area to include the following: (a) a description of the significant wildlife resources on the affected land; (b) seasonal use of the area; (c) the presence and estimated population of threatened and endangered species from either state or federal lists; and (d) a description of the general effect during and after the proposed operation on the existing wildlife of the area, including but not limited to temporary and permanent loss of food and habitat, interference with migratory routes, and the general effect on wildlife from increased human activity, including noise.
