Page 3 of 3 <br />Acceptance of the Design and Construction Documents for the Proposed Stonewall Springs Central Dam <br />March 14, 2008 <br />upstream and downstream slopes that indicated that the embankments should be stable for all <br />required loading conditions. This office accepts the above waiver request. <br />The construction of this project must be performed under the purview of a professional <br />engineer registered in the State of Colorado. Attached with this letter is a copy of Rule 9.2 of the <br />Rules and Regulations concerning construction observations, coordination, and documentation of <br />construction activities required for this large size, High Hazard dam. Please keep Mr Paul Perri <br />of our Denver office at (303) 866 -3581 ext. 8274 informed of the construction status so he may <br />also meet his obligations under Rule 9.2. <br />Please submit "As- Constructed " mylar drawings, including the original certification sheet <br />and one set of blueline drawings, upon completion of construction. Final acceptance of the <br />construction will be contingent upon receipt and our acceptance of the "As- Constructed" drawings, <br />as well as the other requirements of Rule 10 (copy enclosed) of the Rules and Regulations. <br />Please note that as part of the construction completion documents, an Emergency Action Plan <br />(EAP) is required. Storage of water in the reservoir will not be granted until the EAP has been <br />approved and properly distributed. A copy of Rule 16 of the Rules and Regulations is enclosed to <br />assist you in preparing the EAP.
