October 25, 2012 C- 2009 - 087 /Peabody Sage Creek Mine JDM <br />waterto reach SC -16. <br />- A large amount of material was in place at the northern most portion of RC -D3. This material will need to be <br />cleared and the ditch reestablished. <br />According to Peabody Sage Creek Mine Personnel the maintenance items noted in the October 3, 2012 inspection <br />report noted at Pond 004 have yet to be completed. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />The Peabody Sage Creek Mine is currently not extracting coal. The site is continuing development activities and <br />conducting ongoing mining activities on site. <br />The maintenance items identified in this inspection report should be completed no later than November 30, <br />2012. <br />OTHER (SPECIFY): <br />This was partial coal inspection conducted at the Peabody Sage Creek Mine. The weather was cloudy and site was <br />wet and snow covered at the time of the inspection. Scott Cowman and Jeri Hunt of Peabody Energy accompanied <br />the inspection. <br />OFFSITE SUPPORT FACILIITES - Rule 4.04,4.28: <br />Support facilities on -site were stable with no problems noted, with the exception of the following: <br />- A large amount of soil material was observed at the septic system area.
