The Division received the test results on September 25, 2012; the test results have been attached to this
report. The test results showed the water in Mr. Sullivan's well was of a higher quality than that of the water
collected from the Gloria Z Mine. The iron content in the sample collected from Mr. Sullivan's well was slightly
elevated above the Domestic Water Supply standards established by the Colorado Department of Public
Health and Environment (CDPHE). Manganese, copper and total suspended solids were all below CDPHE's
Domestic Water Supply standards.
After reviewing the lab results and considering the distance between the mine site and Mr. Sullivan's well, the
depth of the well, and the general direction of groundwater flow, the Division has concluded that any impacts
to the domestic groundwater well on Mr. Sullivan's property are not being caused by activities at the Gloria Z
Mine.
This concluded the inspection.
Inspection Contact Address
Mike Pfister
Sanborn Sand and Gravel/dba Golden Cross Aggregate
2001 Platte Dr.
Breckenridge, CO 80424
Enclosure
CC: Tom Kaldenbach, DRMS
Todd Sullivan (via email)
PERMIT*: M- 1984 -094
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: MAC
INSPECTION DATE: September 12, 2012
