All small quantities of petroleum products should be stored indoors out of the weather in the <br />maintenance shed. Any spills in the shed should be cleaned immediately and the waste oils <br />properly disposed. <br />Good housekeeping procedures should be implemented at the site at all times. Trash, especially <br />used lubricating and hydraulic oil containers, should be picked up and periodically removed from <br />the site. Oil spills should be cleaned up and the stained soils placed in containers or on plastic <br />sheets and allowed to evaporate. <br />8.2 Inspection /Reporting Requirements <br />BMPs implemented based on the engineered drainage design should be inspected as part of the <br />semi - annual inspections, once in the spring and once in the fall, and are to be conducted as <br />required by the CDPHE regulations. BMPs should be reviewed and inspected to ensure they are <br />performing as designed. Any damage to berms, retention basin, or other BMPs should be noted <br />in the inspection report and repaired as soon as possible. <br />Secondary containment for the fuel tank should be inspected for leaks in the liner and water from <br />precipitation should be inspected for oil sheens and pumped out on an as needed basis. <br />Any spill exceeding 25 gallons, or combined spills exceeding 40 gallons within a year, should be <br />reported to the CDPHE. Spills of any quantity reaching the waters of the United States should be <br />reported immediately to the CDPHE hotline. <br />8.3 Site Reclamation <br />The State of Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) requires that <br />mining sites be reclaimed prior to release. Reclamation efforts are consistent with stormwater <br />management practices including re- grading and vegetation of disturbed areas. For the CM -25 <br />site, reclamation actions and methods are detailed in the Environmental Protection Plan provided <br />for the mine. <br />ESWMP -7 <br />
