5. Wildlife Values: <br />Due to the low productivity of this site, very little <br />manipulation of the vegetation is recommended. If areas of <br />juniper or sagebrush are dense enough to. create monoculture <br />situations then some form of chemical or mechanical brush <br />management should be considered. If adequate fuel is available <br />prescribed burning may be considered. In areas where sagebrush <br />and other shrubs have become dominant, manipulation that restores <br />_a__.rnix of _ grasse_ s__and._.forbs_is_,heneficial for_many <br />species. Areas of sagebrush along drainages and south and west <br />facing slopes should be left undisturbed to provide critical <br />winter forage for mule deer. Water developments for livestock <br />and wildlife can be a useful management tool on this site. <br />b. Hydrological Interpretations: <br />7. Recreation and Natural Beauty: <br />The site occurs at lower elevations so is accessable for <br />recreation nearly year round. It offers beauty in the spring <br />with blooming tombs and hunting in the fall. <br />8.
