D. Sampling <br />Liquid and /or solid samples will be collected in the area affected by the spill to <br />determine the extent of the spill, and the clean -up required. <br />E. Clean -up <br />Clean -up will consist of the removal of the spilled material, material contaminated <br />by the spill, and any other debris resulting from the spill. Following the clean -up <br />the area affected by the spill will be restored to pre -spill conditions. <br />The materials contaminated by the spill that are cleaned -up will be disposed of in <br />an appropriate manner depending on the type of contamination. <br />F. Report Preparation <br />The Environmental Coordinator will be responsible for preparing a report that <br />addresses the cause of the spill, the spill containment procedures used, the results <br />of the sampling that was performed to determine the extent of the spill, the results <br />of the clean -up effort, and recommendations for measures to prevent future <br />occurrences of similar incidences. <br />Section 3 Government Agency Notification <br />Fuel and Oil spills will be evaluated to determine the reporting requirements. <br />Spills greater than 25 gallons that are contained and will not reach a water body <br />will be reported by telephone to the appropriate agency, then a written report will <br />be submitted to the appropriate agency or official within five working days after <br />the spill. <br />Section 4 Preventative Facilities <br />The items listed below have been identified as materials that have spill potential. <br />The preventative features of the storage locations are described along with the <br />materials. <br />Materials and Location <br />Deisel Fuel Tank <br />Oil barrels <br />Ore Storage pad <br />Spill Containment Features <br />Hypalon lined earthen bermed <br />containment <br />Galvanized metal containment tank <br />Clay lined, earthen bermed containment area <br />Section 5 List of Materials Representing a Spill Threat to the Environment <br />Material Location Quantity <br />Diesel fuel Diesel fuel tank 1000 gal max <br />Lubricants and Antifreeze Surface oil storage area 300 gal <br />2 <br />
