BLM Uncompahgre Field Office (UFO) Sensitive Species (Continued)
Source: BLM (2011), ERO (2012)
The Gray vireo, pinyon jay, juniper titmouse, and Brewer's sparrow are species listed as UFO birds of
conservation concern. The ERO survey (2012) showed that there is potential habitat for these species, but
impacts to these species would be minimal. Table 34 lists the UFO birds of conservation concern.
Table 34. UFO Birds of Conservation Concern with Potential Habitat Near Project Area
Sources: BLM 2011 and ERO 2012
63
14.4 Potential Impacts to Wildlife
Potential impact to wildlife will be minimal. No temporary or permanent loss of food and habitat are
expected to occur. There could be a temporary minor interference with migratory routes due to increased
human activity and a temporary effect on wildlife due to increased human activity during mining activities.
However, no permanent detrimental effect for game or non -game wildlife is expected due to the operation
of the JD -6 project.
4148A.120927 Whetstone Associates
