Springs, Reservoirs and Ditches Located within Two Miles Downstream of the
JD -6 Mine
29
The JD -6 stormwater retention pond collects water during seasonal spring runoff. The pond retains contact
stormwater that runs off from the mine facilities area after major storm events and spring runoff. The
catchment is commonly dry during much of the year. Stormwater diversion ditches (Map 1) located above
the Duggan Adit and JD -6 Mine facilities area route most of the non- contact stormwater from upslope
around the mine and into the natural drainage to the east as described in the Stormwater Management Plan.
8.2 Surface Water Quality
Surface water at the site is limited and no surface water quality data are available.
4148A.120927 Whetstone Associates •
