CLIMATE 20 7.1 Meteorological Stations Climatological records are available from nine stations located two to 33 miles from the JD -6 mine site (Table 9). The Uravan station is considered the most representative of long -term climate conditions at the JD -6 site due to its proximity to the site (9.5 miles), somewhat comparable elevation (5,021 ft in Uravan vs. 5,900 ft at the JD -6 Mine), and the long -term period of record (50 years). The closest meteorological station to the JD -6 Mine is the private meteorological monitoring network located at the proposed Pifion Ridge Mill. The station is of interest due to its proximity, although the publicly available data span a limited period (Table 9). Table 9.
