#aft
of
Colorado
Trapper Mine - Review of Semi - Annual Geotech Report
Talvitie, Marcia <marcia.talvitie @state.co.us> Mon, Oct 22, 2012 at 10:01 AM
To: Jared Ebert <jaret.ebert @state.co.us>
Cc: Sandy Brown <Sandy.Brown @state.co.us >, Alysha Hernandez <alysha.hernandez @state.co.us >, Mary
Rodriguez <mary.rodriguez @state.co.us>
Hello Jared,
have reviewed the September 2012 Semi - annual Geotechnical Monitoring Report submitted by Trapper Mining,
Inc. for the Trapper Mine. The document reports the data collected by three GPS and four Inclinometer /
Piezometer installations for the period between April and September 2012, and was submitted as required by
Section 3.3.3 of the permit.
The cover letter explains the few disruptions to the data that occurred, and addresses the Division's previous
question regarding piezometer readings for station 8. The results appear to indicate that the slide mass is not
exhibiting any tendency toward instability or movement. Monitoring stations continue to be decommissioned as
mining operations advance. During the time covered in this report, installations number 5 and 6 were
discontinued, leaving only sites 7 and 8 for the subsequent monitoring period.
have no comments or concerns regarding the data presented in this report. Please contact me if you have any
additional questions.
