The Division of Minerals and Geology is in the process of reclaiming the Coal Basin Mines.
Currently, reclamation activities are performed under the supervision of the Division of Minerals and
Geology, Office of Active and Inactive Mines, and are funded by proceeds from bankruptcy
proceedings.
The Division is soliciting telephone bids from interested contractors for the purpose of conducting
culvert and ditch maintenance activities, placement of temporary sediment control measures and
snow removal operations as necessary at the mine during snow melt run-off. This is anticipated to
be a short-duration project.
Enclosed are a project description, maps, and Bid Schedule.
The General Conditions contained in the Genera/Bid Specifications 1993 apply to this job. No
bonds are required.

There will not be a site showing. Please refer to the attached maps for the site location and
anticipated project areas.
Bid Submission and Evaluation
Bids shall be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 1996 by mail or fax [phone] to
Maggie Van Cleef. Bids shall include a total price and a price for each bid item.
Bids will be evaluated by comparing the grand total on the enclosed Bid Schedule. For each item,
multiply the quantity by the unit price. Enter this price in the Total Cost column.
