The State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and Geology, is seeking bids for a project to
partially reclaim the previously-permitted Coal Basin Mine, located four miles west of
Redstone in Pitkin County.. Work will include demolition and disposal of concrete and cider
block buildings and foundations, excavation of material from mine bench outslopes and
placement against existing highwalls, furrow construction and revegetation of areas
disturbed during reclamation work.
Work is scheduled between June 15, 1996 and September 1, 1996.
Interested Contractors should promptly return the bottom half of this memo to the Colorado
Division of Minerals and Geology, Attn: Yvonne Brannon, 1313 Sherman .St., #215,
Denver, Colorado 80203, for a set of Bid Number PKA-6-364 (COAL BASIN/MINES 1 & 2
PROJECT) bidding documents. There is no charge for bid documents.
An on-site pre-bid meeting will be held on September 21, 1995. All interested bidders
must attend. Bidding documents must be obtained prior to the pre-bid meeting.
Your request must be received by September 14, 1995 so bidding documents can reach
you before the pre-bid meeting.
