The following amendments and clarifications <br /> should be incorporated into the Invitation for Bid: <br /> 1) Map 4 and Cross Sections 1 , 2, 3 were distributed at the Pre-Bid Meeting. They are <br /> NOT attached to this amendment. <br /> 2) A new Bid Schedule is attached. Task 6, Surface Drainages: Rolling Dips, and Task <br /> 11 , Additional Rolling Dip Construction, have been eliminated. Task 7, Surface <br /> Drainages: Cut-Out Trenches, has been modified to include more linear feet of Cut-Out <br /> Trenches to be installed. Cut-Out Trenches will replace rolling dips. Submit your bid <br /> on the revised bid schedule. <br /> 3) The outslopes of the various mine benches will not be scarified. <br /> 4) At the northern end of the Mine 1 area is a mine opening adjacent to a fan foundation <br /> and substation foundation. the hillslope has sloughed over this opening. This entry <br /> will be re-opened, and filled with material for a horizontal distance of fifteen (15) feet <br /> from the mine entry. The fill will extend from floor to roof. Voids will be minimized <br /> during backfilling operations. <br /> 5) Concrete foundations at the Mine 2 Fan shall be demolished to the level of the adjacent <br /> ground surface. <br /> 6) At the Coal Silo Area, coal fines located in this area will be excavated to a depth of <br /> five (5) feet below ground surface. <br /> 7) All terms and conditions of the Invitation for Bid other than as changed by this <br /> amendment remain the same. <br /> 8) Receipt and acceptance of this amendment shall be acknowledged on the Bid form. <br /> M:\IMP\SGR\nnine12ann <br />
