A copy of CDMG's letter is attached. After your site visit,I
understand that you believe the activities should enable meeting Outfall 016's effluent limitations at Outfall 025
The Water Quality Control Division("WQCD") approves of this temporary discharge of mine water through
Outfall 025,provided Mid-Continent ensures the effluent is sampled twice/week during the discharge for the
parameters specified in the permit for Outfall 016. Please collect the first sample within 24 hours of commencement
of the mine water discharge through Outfall 025. When submitting the data to the WQCD with the appropriate
Discharge Monitoring Report, please indicate the duration of the diversion and of mine water discharge through
Outfall 025 and summarize the analytical results. Please be advised that the effluent from Outfall 025 will be
expected to meet Outfall 016's effluent limitations during the diversion. Should any exceedences occur, please
advise the WQCD within 24 hours and provide a noncompliance report, as defined in the permit.
Thank you for your assistance and cooperation in this process.
