JD -9 Mine Permit Amendment

There are nine meteorological weather stations within 35 miles of the JD -9 mine. The
Uravan station was selected as most representative of climate conditions at the JD -9 due
to its proximity (11 miles) and relatively comparable elevation (5021 at Uravan vs. 6500
at JD -9). Due to the 1500 foot increase in elevation from Uravan to the mine site, one
could expect the following differences from the weather table:
1) Lower average maximum temperature
2) Higher average minimum temperature
3) Greater total precipitation
4) Higher total snowfall
5) Higher average snow depth
