The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site on July 20, 2012. Mr. Timm Comer (CC &V) was present <br />during the inspection. The primary focus of this inspection was to monitor solution levels. <br />Mr. Comer stated the substitute water supply plan for Mine Life Extension 2 (MLE2 /AM -10) is due to the State Engineers <br />Office in August 2012. Mr. Comer explained that the mine is removing some of the material placed for the new mill <br />platform in order to facilitate a more effective liner tie -in to the load out bin (LOB) area liner and improve the stormwater <br />management in the vicinity of the LOB and the new mill platform. A technical revision (TR -66 ?) will be submitted to <br />address these changes. <br />Inspection: <br />The PSES pad subgrade construction appears to be complete (see Photos 1 and 2). Material placement and <br />compaction for the proposed new mill platform is continuing (see Photo 3). <br />The mine is constructing an access ramp to the DCF failure area (see Photo 4). Recent rains have eroded <br />additional DCF material off the geomembrane liner below the Phase V DCF slope failure (see Photo 5). <br />The inspection continued as the Division visited each of the high and low solution collection system transducers <br />and recorded water level values. The recording sheet is included as Attachment A, and the values are <br />summarized below in the Transducer Readings. <br />The Arequa Gulch underdrains were inspected. The South Underdrain discharge was measured to be 7.9 gpm. <br />Both the North Underdrain and the AG /Spring were dry. Both the A35and B63 pumpback lines were dry.
