Brian Munson inspected the area Thursday, 3/31/83. The dimensions
are roughly 50'x2001 , or 1/4 acre. All drainage is to the present drainage
system.
I have asked Brian to obtain permission for me to remove the trees starting
Tuesday, April 5, 1983, and then when the T.R. is approved, remove snow and
topsoil. I told him I would call you Monday.
We are rapidly running out of storage space and would like to keep the men
working awhile longer before a layoff. We feel it will be a good invest-
ment to stockpile coal now while we have everyone working.
The topsoil will be stockpiled next to the bathhouse sediment pond (across
Dutch Creek). The reclamation plan (seed mix, etc. ) would be the same as
for the preparation plant area. The topsoil pile would be protected by
seeding with the 8000' mix. The amount of topsoil is estimated at 0.5' to
1.0' x 10,000'+ sq. ft. = 5000' to 10,000 cu. ft. or 185 to 370 cu. yds.
We would appreciate your consideration in this matter; please call me if
you have any questions.
Sincerely,
'6L /, '
"'e'
Environmental Coordinator
Dl'VBowman:ms
Enclosure
