The new refuse pile is
south-facing and dries out very fast in the spring. The
coal refuse is spread out in a fan shape one to two feet
thick each day by a D-8 cat and the sediment from the
ponds would be spread out in layers six inches or less
across the top of the pile; that is , it would not be con-
centrated in any one area.
We believe this method would not in any way harm the struc-
tural integrity if the pile and that it would be the best
environmental method of disposing of the sediment pond
material .
Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this
matter.
Sincerely,
Environmental rffinator
DWBowman :ms
